Abstract
This research was aimed to investigate the condition of the existing roads and designing road network based on forest management plan at Armardah, Baneh. Using Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) method, the important layers of slope, aspect, forest type and distance to villages and resorts, were weighted and ranked. Maps were produced to weighted layers generated in GIS to find suitable regions for road tracing. Tracing of roads through visualization of necessary layers in GIS were done in three phases. Results showed that this method could prepare a fast and low cost feasibility function to design road network according to proposals of multiple used forest management plans. Concerning to these facilities and using various layers of information in designing road network, this method can substitute the classic methods.
