The quality of images was evaluated for radiometric and geometric errors. No considerable radiometric distortion was found in the images. The LISS-III images were geometrically corrected with image to image method using 18 ground control points. The RMSE was 0.43 and 0.36 pixels, towards X and Y, respectively. Several image enhancements such as spectral rationing, PCA transformation and vegetation indices were performed. To reduce the effect of soil reflectance, suitable vegetation indices were prepared using soil line parameters. A ground truth map was generated through random systematic sampling with sample size 60 m×60 m. The canopy cover percent of trees was measured in two directions and percentage of canopy cover was computed in each plot. Based on canopy cover the plots were classified into four classes (very thin, thin, semi-dense and dense). Twenty five of sample plots from each class were selected as training area and the best spectral bands were selected using divergence separability index. Regarding canopy cover area and in order to equalize the pixel size of LISS-IV and LISS-III images, pixel sizes of LISS-IV images were aggregated in 5×5 pixels. A supervised classification was accomplished on the best and main bands. The accuracy assessment of generated map was evaluated using 75% of the sample plots. The results showed that using the LISS-III image data within 4 density classes the highest overall accuracy and kappa coefficient were equal to 65.77% and 0.45 and using aggregated LISS-IV images they were 63.27% and 0.41 respectively. These results showed that using the best selected bands by maximum likelihood algorithm could better map forest canopy cover classes. In order to improve the results, the very thin class with thin class and semi-dense with dense classes were merged together respectively and classification was again repeated. In this case, the maximum likelihood classifier algorithm using the best selected LISS-III bands showed the highest overall accuracy and kappa coefficient of 78.68% and 0.57 respectively and the minimum distance to mean classifier algorithm using the best selected equalization of LISS-IV bands showed the highest overall accuracy and kappa coefficient of 78% and 0.57 respectively. Conclusion to be made from this investigation is that in such sparse forests, low canopy area of forest species as well as the soil reflectance as background cause low performance of classification.}, keywords = {Canopy cover mapping,LISS-III,LISS-IV,Zagros forests,IRS-P6,Javanroud}, title_fa = {ارزیابی مقایسه‌ای قابلیت داده‎های LISS-III و LISS-IV ماهواره IRS-P6 در تهیه نقشه تراکم تاج پوشش جنگل‌های زاگرس (مطالعه موردی: جنگل‌های شهرستان جوانرود)}, abstract_fa = {به‌منظور مقایسه داده‌های دو سنجنده LISS-III و LISS-IV ماهواره 6IRS-P در تهیه نقشه تراکم تاج پوشش جنگل‌های زاگرس، داده‌های این سنجنده‌ها در بخشی از جنگل‌های شهرستان جوانرود مورد تجزیه و تحلیل قرار گرفتند. بررسی کیفی داده‌ها از نظر هندسی و رادیومتری انجام شد. برای استخراج بهتر اطلاعات از پردازش‌های مختلف بهبود و بارزسازی تصاویر، تجزیه و تحلیل مؤلفه‌های اصلی، نسبت‌گیری‌های طیفی و ایجاد شاخص‌های گیاهی مناسب استفاده شد. واقعیت زمینی نمونه‌ای از طریق روش تصادفی سیستماتیک و با شبکه‌ای به ابعاد 300×300 متر و با سطح قطعات نمونه 60×60 مترمربعی تهیه گردید. در هر قطعه نمونه میزان تاج پوشش درختان برداشت و درصد تاج پوشش کل درختان در هر قطعه نمونه و در هر هکتار محاسبه شد و طبقه‌بندی طبقات براساس تعاریف سازمان جنگل‌ها و مراتع صورت گرفت. 25 درصد از قطعات نمونه از هر طبقه تراکمی به‌عنوان نمونه تعلیمی، انتخاب شدند. بهترین ترکیبات باندی با توجه به معیار واگرایی انتخاب گردید. طبقه‌بندی داده‌ها به روش نظارت شده و با طبقه‌بندی‌کننده‌های حداقل فاصله و حداکثر احتمال صورت گرفت. نقشه واقعیت زمینی با 75 درصد قطعات نمونه باقی‌مانده تهیه و نتایج طبقه‌بندی با نقشه یاد شده مورد ارزیابی قرار گرفتند. بالاترین صحت کلی و ضریب کاپا در طبقه‌بندی 4 طبقه‌ای، با استفاده از داده‌های LISS-III به‌ترتیب معادل 77/65 درصد و 45/0 و در طبقه‌بندی انجام شده با استفاده از داده‌های اولیه LISS-IV، به‌ترتیب معادل 33/55 درصد و 28/0 می‌باشد. با تجمیع 5×5 پیکسل تصاویر سنجنده LISS-IV و طبقه‌بندی مجدد تصاویر میزان صحت کلی و ضریب کاپا به‌ترتیب به 27/63 درصد و 48/0 رسید. پس از ادغام طبقه‌های دارای تفکیک‌پذیری پایین و طبقه‌بندی با 2 طبقه بهترین نتایج به‌دست آمده، با استفاده از داده‌های LISS-III و میزان صحت کلی و ضریب کاپا به‌ترتیب برابر با 68/78 درصد و 57/0 با ترکیب 6 باندی منتخب و طبقه‌بندی‌کننده حداکثر احتمال بوده است. همچنین، با استفاده از داده‌های تجمیع‌سازی شده LISS-IV، بالاترین صحت کلی و ضریب کاپا به‌ترتیب 78/0 و 57/0 با ترکیب 6 باندی منتخب و طبقه‌بندی حداقل فاصله از میانگین به‌دست آمد. نتایج نشان داد که داده‌های LISS-III در مقایسه با داده‌های LISS-IV به‌دلیل برخورداری از باند مادون قرمز میانی از قابلیت بهتری برخوردارند و افزایش قدرت تفکیک مکانی داده‌های سنجنده LISS-IV به‌دلیل ماهیت مشخصه تراکم تاج پوشش از نظر محاسبه آن در واحد سطح، تأثیری بر بهبود نتایج نداشته است. به‌طورکلی نتایج نشان داد که عوامل مختلفی مانند تنک بودن جنگل در بیش‌تر قسمت‌های منطقه و تداخل طیفی خاک با پوشش زمینه، وجود قطعات غیر‌جنگلی فراوان و پراکنده در داخل جنگل باعث شده است تا تداخل طیفی جنگل و غیرجنگل بیش‌تر شود. همین امر باعث شده تا صحت کلی و ضریب کاپای نقشه‌های به‌دست آمده از طبقه‌بندی بالا نباشد و داده‌های یاد شده از قابلیت بالایی در تهیه نقشه تراکم این جنگل‌ها برخوردار نباشند.  }, keywords_fa = {: نقشه تراکم جنگل,LISS-III,LISS-IV,جنگل‎های زاگرس,6IRS-P,جوانرود}, url = {https://jwfst.gau.ac.ir/article_898.html}, eprint = {https://jwfst.gau.ac.ir/article_898_bebb62c9ca6d697ca532e893873170e7.pdf} }
